WHAT IS PINTEREST AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

What is Pinterest, and how does it work? Pinterest is a social network, like a visual discovery engine. Pinterest allows users to visually share and discover new interests by ‘pinning’ them to their own or other people’s boards (a collection of Pins).

You can also browse and look at what other users have pinned. Creating a Pinterest account is free, and you can create either a personal or business account.

There are billions of Pins on Pinterest, and you can always find ideas to spark inspiration. Pinterest has a lot of photos, images, creative do-it-yourself ideas, and much more.

PINTEREST DICTIONARY

Pins = the images you can pin call them on Pinterest Pins.

Board = a category in which you collect images. You can give a plate any name you want. So for example ‘animals’. Here you can save all Pins about animals.

Pinning = pinning an image on your board is called pinning. You can pin images to your board anywhere from the internet. You do this via a link, so you do not physically put the images on Pinterest.

You can, therefore, always go back to the source where the picture comes from. You can also upload images to Pinterest and pin them to your board.

Repin= if you have placed an image, someone else can save it to his or her board. So you post a picture of, for instance, your favorite meal, and someone clicks ‘pin it’ and places it on his cuisine board. This is called repin. Pinterest is like a digital bulletin board.

BROWSE YOUR HOME FEED

So your home feed is where you’ll find Pins, people, and businesses who are interested mostly in the same issues as you, based on your recent activity. Pinterest shows you Pins from the people and boards you choose to follow.

You can search for Pins by typing keywords into the search bar. Try typing ‘healthy living’ in the search bar to see different exercises and diet recommendations to get ideas for healthier choices.

SAVE, TRY, AND SHARE PINS

Pins are like bookmarks people use to save ideas that they love on Pinterest. Pins can be images, videos, or products. You can try different options and choose the best suitable for your needs.

There are platforms for Pin creation out there. My recommendation is Canva. It’s free to use and gives a vast range of images, text options, and different elements to design great fresh Pins.

WHAT IS PINTEREST FOR BEGINNER BLOGGERS

Pinterest is like being created for bloggers. When I started, I didn’t know how useful “search engine” Pinterest is. When you do your Pinterest homework properly, you can get a lot of traffic into your site. The power of Pinterest as a traffic generator is more significant than Google SEO.

Pinterest users are looking for inspiration, and what is most important they are searching for solutions to their problems. That’s essential to running a successful online business on Pinterest. If you are recently started or are going to start blogging, I briefly point out the most critical steps.

BLOGGING CONTENT

There are many unnecessary pressures to start blogging. You don’t have to be a writer to take on it. The most important thing is that you have something beyond the interest, hobby, or passion you want to tell about and gather more information. There are plenty of guides for writing blogs, but I think the blog style should describe your personality more than grammatical or stylistic aspects. So, don’t worry. You can be yourself with your writing and create natural, honest, and trustworthy content typical for you.

When speaking about attractivity, which connects directly to the number of visitors on your site, the most important thing is that your blog content gives answers to the questions your visitors are looking for. That’s the key to success in the blogging business. Put effort enough to explore this issue.

SETTING UP A WEBSITE

In successful Pinterest marketing, the content of your blog is of great importance. Since your blog is the most crucial tool for your online business, it is essential that you ensure its functionality, safety, and speed in all conditions. Therefore, you need a quality hosting platform to set up your website.

I’ve experienced one well-known hosting company that gives several hosting options for both starters and more advanced marketers. So do not resort to free alternatives in this matter that do not guarantee the website’s functionality as required by your business. My recommendation is Bluehost. You can check out Bluehost’s hosting plans and prices through this link. All of them include, for example, 1-year free domain name.

GETTING STARTED

So that’s all this time. In this article, I described quite superficially what Pinterest is and how you can exploit it.
Either you use Pinterest for enjoyment or business, the best way to go deeper into Pinterest’s soul is to get to know others.

Join different Pinterest groups or Tailwind tribes, start communicating with your friends, absorb the influence of their activities, and use it to create your Pins and develop your own Pinterest marketing activities.
